Participants will use basic printmaking techniques including monotypes and relief, using found and organic subject matter, to explore the world around them. They will leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art that tells a story about the time and place it was created.
Kati Simek (they/them, she/her) is an artist and administrator based in Seattle. They studied experimental photographic processes at Temple University while earning a BA in Film and Media Arts, and they hold an MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University. Kati’s art’s practice is grounded in environmental justice and themes of relationships and community, and their process often incorporates found and repurposed materials.
