Our mission is to build a strong community through sailing, great cuisine, amazing drinks, and rich fellowship. Everyone is welcome to enjoy our facilities, and club members gain additional perks for a nominal annual fee, including discounts on food and drinks, free Wi-Fi, and complimentary coffee and iced tea. As we grow, members will also have access to sailing lessons and the opportunity to sail the club’s boats. The only qualification for membership is a desire to learn, try, and have fun!
Our History
In 1871, a group of Oysterville residents formed the Shoalwater Bay Yacht Club, organizing a July 4th race to celebrate Independence Day and crown the best sailor on Shoalwater (now Willapa) Bay. The event and club thrived for years, but as boats transitioned from sail to power, the club faded away. Today, we are proud to revive the Shoalwater Bay Yacht Club, rekindling its spirit of camaraderie and competition on the bay.
