In December 2004, Wilma Vardsveen’s small newspaper notice sparked the creation of our theater group, starting with skits for the Senior Center. By March 2005, we hosted our first Community Talent Show, and our first play, Deadwood Dick, followed soon after. Adopting the name Peninsula Players in 2005, we began as a traveling theater before renting our first space in Ilwaco in 2008. Since 2010, we’ve proudly called the River City Playhouse our home, thanks to the support of dedicated volunteers and our vibrant community.
